The Torrente Ballester Kingdom Tour is coming...

Tomorrow is the big day: the Colegio Torrente Ballester Kingdom Tour! The primary school students have worked hard to create their own unique kingdoms over the past few weeks. Groups of students in each class have created kingdom rules, colors, coats of arms, maps, flags, games, celebrations, and beautiful decorations. Tomorrow the students will come dressed up in their kingdom colors or in line with their kingdom theme. They will "travel" from kingdom to kingdom, learning all about the different kingdoms along the way. The kids are stoked and so are we! Check out a few pictures from the past few weeks' preparation below.

The classrooms are decorated and ready for the tour!

We've also created maps for each student and one unified Torrente Ballester Kingdom map.

First Grade's "Garden"

To practice with animals as well as plants, the first graders created a beautiful garden project. They created flowers and colored birds and other insects. They also identified key plant parts as well as plant needs. Check it out on the wall next to Amelia's 1st grade class! Both 1A and 1B helped with this project. The kids did a wonderful job!

Foods with First Grade

Last week, the first graders practiced categorizing and identifying different foods found in a grocery magazine. Then, they practiced writing the foods and they told their classmates about the foods they like and the foods they don't like.

Easter Projects: 1st and 2nd Grade

For Easter, our 2nd graders made beautiful Easter egg cards to be sent to England. The students wrote messages about spring and Easter. They had fun decorating the eggs!

The second graders also made origami Easter bunnies. Some of them even made little baby bunnies!

In first grade, the students wrote poems about Easter eggs and then decorated Easter cards for their families.

Students also made little Easter bunny paper decorations.

The first graders loved getting help on their Easter bunny crafts from some of the visiting teachers from England. Happy spring, everyone!
